Gaby Huhn
Director / Head of SchoolDear Friends from around the world! Welcome to GV Malta English Centre! While I was at University I had a dream….that of opening an English language school, somewhere close to the sea, quaint and Mediterranean in character! St. Paul’s Bay was the place to be and in 1999 my dream came true! Come and learn English in a sunny Mediterranean country and explore our rich history. Here at GV Malta, our fully-qualified teachers are trained to teach English using interactive whiteboards – bringing the fun back into learning! My background stems from having an English mother and with being brought up in an English-speaking world I have no choice but to offer you my beloved language. With many years of teaching English as a foreign language, my passion was and remains the incredibly daunting English language! My hobbies are the outdoors and anything linked to nature, Pilates, Geocaching, swimming and of course, reading when I find a quiet moment. I have bungeed – only once! My dedicated staff and I look forward to welcoming you to GV Malta…. My warmest wishes, Gaby Huhn

Accommodation & Operations ManagerMy main tasks are to ensure that the school is running smoothly and to ensure students have the best possible experience while learning English. We are constantly looking for innovative ways to improve the school as a whole and the learning experience within the classrooms. My responsibilities also include the accommodation provided by the school. My priority is to help make your stay as comfortable and hassle free as possible, therefore it is my job to find the ideal accommodation to suit your needs. All our accommodation facilities, whether it may be hotels, self-catering apartment or host families accommodation, have been specifically picked to match GV Malta standards. Saying this, we are constantly working to increase and improve on our portfolio of properties that we currently have at our disposal. I look forward to meeting you and hope you enjoy your time in Malta.

General English TeacherTEFL, TELT I have been working at GV Malta since 2009. I spent the first two years teaching teenagers and children aged 5-11. Three years ago, the school heavily invested in new Interactive White Boards for each classroom and with this, the teaching style of the school has been completely upgraded. This tool enables me and my fellow teachers to teach English in a fun and exciting way. I find it very useful for teaching Elementary students for various reasons, namely Grammar, Vocabulary and Listening. Students often compliment me on my presentations so I feel this is the way forward. I am very proud to be working for this school, mainly because it offers a nice atmosphere, a safe environment; it is family-oriented and close to the sea and all amenities. I look forward to meeting new students as well as welcoming return ones. I absolutely love teaching and meeting new students at GV Malta!

HousekeeperTwenty years ago, I started working with foreign students. The reason is because I enjoy meeting new people. The students I meet at GV Malta come from all over the world and I’m interested in learning about new cultures and traditions. I like working here because this school is family – oriented and the atmosphere here is great.
